Life
Kelly completed her graduation from Toronto’s Northern Secondary School. To join the cast of Mount Royal, she left the University of Western Ontario and then obtained a degree in English Literature, when she was just 19 years old. It wasn’t very easy for her to leave the University but she found the opportunity to shoot in Paris, too irresistible to leave. Kelly continued her education at the British Drama Academy in London and when she came back to North America, she repositioned herself to New York in order to study at the very well known Neighborhood Playhouse. Kelly studied playwriting at the University of California (Los Angeles)

Career

In order to earn extra money, she started modeling during her college years. She began her acting career in the year 1980. Through her presence in movies like The Gate, Hook, Three to Tango, One Eight Seven, and A Girl Thing, Kelly became a prominent face but till then she actually hadn’t climbed the stairs of success. Her guest appearances in TV shows like The Outer Limits, Growing Pains, Da Vinci’s Inquest, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Dallas and few others also added charm to her career.

Kelly won a Gemini award in the year 1993 for her outstanding work in the television-movie Adrift. And then in the year 2002, Kelly appeared in three episodes of Boomtown, portraying the role of Marian, the betrayed wife of David McNorris.

Kelly acted on the Young Storytellers Program as a volunteer. She had also appeared in the music video, Still I Long For Your Kiss, from the album 7 Days in Memphis by Peter Gallagher, in 2005. Furthermore, Kelly also had worked in the television movie In God’s Country.

Along with Freddie Prinze Jr., Kelly appeared in a film Jack and Jill vs. the World that was released on April 4, 2008. Kelly had also produced a TV movie entitled “She Drives Me Crazy” for Lifetime. Kelly finished a TV film named as, Good Times Are Killing Me in the year 2008. In this film, she was an executive producer and also starred together with Rupert Graves.

The OC
Kelly Rowan portrayed the role of Kirsten Cohen in the well known FOX network’s The OC TV show.

Kirsten was the daughter of Caleb and Rose Nichol. She belonged to an affluent family. Her father established The Newport Group which came up as one of the most influential companies in California. Kirsten most likely belonged to Scottish American ancestry.

Personal Life
It was said publicly that Kelly Rowan got engaged to the Canadian billionaire David Thomson on June 20, 2007. They were separated and broke their engagement before Kelly delivered their daughter on April 28, 2008.
